What is Tungsten heat shield?

Tungsten/Wolfram heat shield is to keep the temperature inside of tungsten crucible and prevent outside people from hurt. Tungsten heat shield is made of tungsten sheet with purity over 99.95%. The production process of tungsten heat shield in the sapphire growth furnaces is using tungsten powder by hydrostatic compaction and sintered at high temperature. Tungsten heat shield used in sapphire growth furnaces can be made by hot rolled and cold rolled.

Application

Tungsten/Wolfram heat shield are mainly used as a material of construction in specific areas of vacuum furnace hot zones. A maximum operating temperature of 2400°C  can be achieved. As the heat-shield parts in the sapphire growth furnace, the most decisive function of upper and bottom cover plate is to prevent and reflect the heat in the furnace. Heat-shield parts with high-density, exact-measurement, smooth-surface, convenient-assembly and reasonable-design has great significance in improving the crystal-pulling.
